I am a physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience. I provide evidence-based care with a biopsychosocial approach to help manage pain and improve function, tailored to each patient’s goals.
My sessions combine manual therapy, which I enjoy for its hands-on approach, with personalized exercise plans. I believe understanding pain and how the body works is essential, so education is included in every session. This is especially important for managing chronic pain, where manual therapy may be less effective.
I have worked in South Africa, the UK, Hong Kong, and Melbourne since July 2022. I founded Lindsay Hunter Physiotherapy in Hong Kong in 2014 and am excited to reopen it here in Melbourne. From my home in Ashburton, I provide individual assessment and treatment sessions, including telehealth options, as well as dual exercise sessions.
Larger group exercise classes and Menopause Women’s Groups are held at the Ashburton Community Centre.
In addition, I work part time as a senior physiotherapist at the Barbara Walker Centre for Pain Management, St Vincent’s Public Hospital.
I enjoy spending time with my husband and two young children and love being in nature. I make it a priority to maintain consistent exercise, including swimming, running, and Pilates.
Exploring the bike and pedestrian paths—and the coffee—this wonderful city has to offer brings me great joy!
My passion for helping patients reach their goals has motivated me to earn the following advanced qualifications:
